A nationally recognized color and cut expert, Gatto is on the cutting-edge of all new coloring techniques and treatments, most recently leading the Core Team of educators for East Coast Salon Services and as a PLATINUM.COLOR.KEY for KEVIN.MURPHY COLOR.ME.
Gatto graduated at the top of his class from the Rizzieri Aveda Institute, and joined an elite team to assist the Clairol Styling Team at the New York Fashion shows working backstage with Richard Dalton (former personal stylist to Princess Diana).

In June 2020, in the early months of the COVID pandemic, Gatto acquired Pileggi on the Square Salon in Philadelphia. A landmark salon with a 40 year history that has seen over 45% growth since his acquisition.

In 2007, after more than a decade in the beauty industry, Kevin opened Verde Salon in Collingswood, New Jersey which has won multiple “Best of Philly” and “Best of South Jersey” awards. He has been called upon as an expert on local and national television such as QVC, Fox’s Good Day Philadelphia, CBS-Philadelphia, NBC-Philadelphia and the nationally syndicated Better TV series. Gatto is a regular beauty contributor to the lifestyle show Talk Philly on CBS3 in Philadelphia. He was Lead Stylist for Philadelphia Fashion Week 2009 and 2010 designing looks for 18 runway shows over 3 nights.
